These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between you and RBOTChess ("we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of the website https://rbotchess.com and its services (the "Services"). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access the Services.
RBOTChess provides a SaaS platform offering chess opening repertoire training for personal use. The Services include access to annotated opening trees, piece-map visualisations, strategy guides, and a built-in training mode, organised by rating level.
A limited selection of content (the London System opening) is available at no cost to registered users. Access to additional content requires a paid subscription or one-time purchase.
Subscription plans. We offer subscription-based access to our Services. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. The billing frequency (monthly or annual) is selected by the customer at the time of purchase.
Payment. We accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. All payments are processed in US dollars (USD) via Stripe. By providing payment information, you authorise us to charge the applicable fees.
One-time purchases. Individual opening repertoires may also be purchased as one-time payments. These purchases grant permanent access to the content available at the time of purchase and do not include future updates.
Refunds. You may request a full refund within 30 days of purchase. Refund requests should be submitted to support@rbotchess.com.
You may cancel your subscription at any time by logging into your account and managing your subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to paid content until that date.
Users who register an account receive permanent free access to the London System opening repertoire across all rating levels. This free tier does not expire and is not a time-limited trial.
You may not use the Services to:
All content, data, software, and materials made available through the Services are owned by or licensed to RBOTChess. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the content for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
The Services may contain links to third-party websites, including Lichess (lichess.org) and ChessTempo (chesstempo.com). These links are provided for convenience only. We have no control over the content or practices of third-party sites and accept no responsibility for them. Visiting third-party websites is at your own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RBOTChess's total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the Services is limited to the total amount you have paid to us in the six (6) months preceding the claim.
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of data, revenue, or profits, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available at https://rbotchess.com/privacy. By using the Services, you consent to the collection and use of information as described therein.
Informal negotiation. Before initiating formal proceedings, the parties agree to attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting us at support@rbotchess.com. The parties shall negotiate in good faith for a period of thirty (30) days from the date of notice.
Arbitration. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be finally settled by arbitration in Stockholm, Sweden. Proceedings shall be conducted in English in accordance with applicable Swedish arbitration rules.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sweden. Any disputes not subject to arbitration shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Stockholm, Sweden.
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. When we do, we will notify registered users by email. Continued use of the Services after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
